Helping food producers rethink plastic packaging

for today’s market demands

Growing demand for fresh and chilled convenience, evolving PPWR requirements and increasing cost pressure are reshaping packaging decisions across the food industry.

At Plus Pack, we help food producers address these challenges through plastic packaging solutions designed to support consumer expectations, circularity and long-term operational efficiency.

Packaging Built for

Fresh & Chilled Convenience meals

Consumers increasingly expect food solutions that are easy to buy, handle, store and enjoy. From salads and deli products to hummus, fresh cheese, fish, bakery and chilled convenience meals, packaging plays a key role in creating a convenient food experience.

To meet these expectations, food producers need packaging solutions that combine product visibility, easy handling and reliable performance throughout production, distribution and retail.

That’s where Plus Pack comes in. Our plastic packaging solutions are designed to support modern fresh and chilled food applications, helping food producers deliver convenient consumer experiences while maintaining product quality, operational efficiency and strong shelf presentation.

Packaging Designed for

PPWR, Circularity and Performance

The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation is shaping packaging decisions across the EU, making circularity, recyclability and responsible packaging design essential requirements for food producers.

For plastic packaging, material choices, recyclability, recycled content and documentation are becoming increasingly important throughout the value chain.

At Plus Pack, PPWR considerations are integrated into our product development and business practices. We offer plastic packaging solutions designed with circularity and responsible material use in mind, supported by transparent documentation and regulatory compliance.

Documentation and compliance are becoming increasingly important for packaging decisions. With Plus Pack, customers gain access to the information and support needed to demonstrate compliance and make informed packaging choices.

Whether reviewing existing plastic packaging formats or optimizing packaging portfolios, we help food producers combine regulatory compliance, product performance and operational efficiency in one solution.

Choose the rPET composition that fits your fresh food packaging needs

Compare rPET40, rPET50 and rPET85 to find the material composition that best fits your product, process and packaging goals.

rPET40

Total recycled content: minimum 40%

PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled): minimum 25%

PIW (Post-Industrial Waste): maximum 15%

  • Same look and performance as virgin APET.
  • No visible difference from virgin material.
  • Chemically recycled PET provides virgin-like quality.
  • Ultra-high transparency.
  • Mono-material and designed for recycling.
  • Ideal for customers who want maximum product presentation combined with recycled content.

rPET50

Total recycled content: minimum 50%

PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled): minimum 30%

PIW (Post-Industrial Waste): maximum 20%

  • Same look and performance as virgin APET.
  • No visible difference from virgin material.
  • Chemically recycled PET provides virgin-like quality.
  • Ultra-high transparency, even with 50% recycled content.
  • Mono-material and designed for recycling.
  • Strong combination of sustainability, premium appearance and high material quality.
  • Enables high product visibility without the transparency compromises often seen in traditional rPET solutions.

rPET85

Total recycled content: minimum 85%

PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled): minimum 50%

PIW (Post-Industrial Waste): maximum 35%

  • Highest level of recycled content in our PET portfolio.
  • Based on a traditional A-B-A sheet structure with recycled material in the core layer.
  • Very strong sustainability profile.
  • Excellent mechanical properties and food safety.
  • Transparency remains high, but does not achieve the same virgin-like clarity as rPET40 and rPET50 based on chemical recycling.
  • Suitable for customers where maximum recycled content is more important than absolute transparency.

Packaging Designed for

Cost Efficiency

Price matters — but the true cost of packaging goes far beyond the price per unit.

Production efficiency, logistics, material usage, stacking, palletisation and supply reliability all influence the total cost of ownership. Small improvements across the packaging value chain can create significant long-term value.

At Plus Pack, we help food producers optimize total cost through packaging expertise, operational insight and continuous product optimization.

We create value through:

·        Stable supply and fewer line stoppages

·        Optimized formats and palletisation

·        Improved transport and storage efficiency

·        Material optimization and resource efficiency

·        Packaging solutions designed for efficient handling, packing and logistics

Premium presentation. Circular design. Optimized logistics.

The result: a packaging solution that supports premium food presentation, circularity and operational efficiency.
