Ina List began her career at Plus Pack the day after her 18th birthday in 1973, and five decades later she still shares her invaluable knowledge. Starting in production, her talent and dedication quickly became evident, leading to continuous development and key contributions to Plus Pack’s focus on quality and innovation.
Since retiring, Ina has continued working part-time - a role that supports the company with her expertise while keeping her engaged and active. Over the years, she has played a crucial role in quality assurance, from production control to the laboratory, where she deepened her knowledge in aluminium testing and standards.
Her career also included leadership, international collaborations, and the development of testing methods still used today. Most recently, she joined the Business Development department part-time, using her expertise to guide material choices and improve processes.
From Retirement to
Renewed Contribution
In 2019, Ina retired after 46 years at Plus Pack. However, her deep expertise and invaluable knowledge made her an irreplaceable asset to the company. Recognizing this, Plus Pack invited her back on a part-time basis, allowing her to continue contributing while also enjoying the flexibility of retirement. Now, as a part-time employee, she has found balance between work and family. With 10 hours a week, she continues to share her knowledge while also making time for her grandchildren, singing in a choir, and enjoying retirement. Reflecting on her time at Plus Pack, Ina shares:
“It has been an exciting journey, filled with opportunities to grow, learn, and contribute. I have always enjoyed finding solutions and improving processes, and Plus Pack has given me the space to do that.”

“I love that I can still contribute and stay connected while having the flexibility to enjoy my personal life,” Ina says. “Keeping my mind active and staying engaged with my colleagues is something I truly appreciate.”

She has valued the trust placed in her expertise and the ability to shape her own role. Now in her retirement she continues to contribute through a flexible part-time role, ensuring her invaluable expertise remains a part of Plus Pack’s future while also enjoying the freedom to focus on family and personal interests.
