Camilla Haustrup Hermansen to lead
Climate Partnership on waste, water and circular economy
Saturday November 9th it was published that Director and Co-owner in Plus Pack Camilla Haustrup Hermansen is appointed as Chair of a new Climate Partnership between the government and the sectors waste, water as well as circular economy. The Climate Partnership has to come up with its vision for the green transition of the sectors and its ambitions for the sector’s reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
“Waste and water sectors have a large climate footprint, and we must ensure that our handling of both drinking water, wastewater and waste is as climate-friendly as possible”
“I look forward to receiving the industry’s own proposals on how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. At the same time, I’m interested in suggestions on how the two sectors can start the green transition and where they see potentials and barriers. I am glad that Camilla Haustrup Hermansen from Plus Pack has accepted to lead this partnership”,
Lea Wermelin - Minister for the Environment
great ambitions
on behalf of the sector
Like Plus Pack’s own ambitious sustainability goals, Camilla has great ambitions on behalf of the sectors.
It is still not published who will be part of the working group for the sectors waste, water and as well as circular economy partnership. The Climate Partnership is 1 of 13 Climate Partnerships that the Government will start up with various sectors of the business community to increase focus on addressing the climate challenges.
“Danish solutions within waste, water and circular economies are already recognized around the world today. But it does not prevent us from developing even better solutions. This task is a big responsibility, but luckily there is a strong will among the companies to engage in it”
“Now I will join forces with strong actors in the water and waste sectors to look at how we can create more concrete solutions on how to reduce the Danish climate footprint while inspiring the rest of the world to follow us”,
Camilla Haustrup Hermansen - Deputy CEO, Director of Business Development
