Aluminium is a valuable material after use, and it is recyclable without loss of quality. We call it the champion in a circular economy. Why? Because it fits perfectly into a circular economy, in which waste is seen as a valuable resource and turned into new valuable materials.
Aluminium is the only food packaging material this is recyclable forever, and that is why 75% of all aluminium ever produced is still in use. Also, when recycling aluminium, you save 95% CO2 compared to using virgin aluminium. Aluminium could be you next food packaging tray material.

Plastic is a valuable resource that can be used in many different types of food packaging. With our existing consumption habits,plastic is an ideal material for food packaging trays as plastics is a great way to preserve and protect food.
Finally, and most importantly – plastics can be recycled, when choosing the right form of plastic for your food packaging. Plastic comes in many different types, some considered more recyclable than others. For plastic food packaging to be recyclable, it must be easy-to-recycle. For plastic packaging to be recyclable the following criteria has an impact:
- Mono-material
- Clear material
- Contains recycled content
We have plastic food packaging trays that are suitable for both hot and cold food. PET is optimal for cold food like salads, tapas or fruits. And for warm food, PP is the optimal choice that can be used to either package already warm food or it can be used for meals that need to be heated before eating.

single-portion or snack-sized food
Our Deliwave™ range come in DPET recycled PET (rPET), and consist of small, round trays for single-portion or snack-sized meals. The plastic material rPET consists of minimum 85% recycled content. Both DPET and rPET are easy-to-recycle. With the SafeSnack feature a spork can be placed hygienically in the bottom of the food packaging tray. Deliwave™ trays are the ideal, circular food packaging for cold, ready-to-eat meals such as salads, tapas, sliced fruit, and desserts.

Deliwave™ is designed to be sealable, and we offer a wide range of different sealing films, so you do not need to source from different suppliers.
