We are pleased to have received our third circularity score with the help of Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s Circulytics framework, which is the most comprehensive circularity measurement tool available. And it is free. By using company-level data and applying insights and analysis from the Foundation, the score highlights both our company strengths and areas for improvement.

In 8 out of the 11 theme-level categories, where sufficient data was available to create a benchmark, Plus Pack scores above Industry benchmarks. These are Strategy and planning, Innovation, People and Skills, Operations, External engagement, Products and Materials, Services and Energy.

“Plus Pack scores above Industry benchmarks, which is a very satisfying result and a recognition of the hard work we are doing daily to achieve our vision of transforming the food packaging industry to circularity. We are not there yet, but we are well underway and will continue our efforts.”

Camilla Haustrup Hermansen - Deputy CEO, Director of Business Development

What is

Circulytics?

Circulytics supports a company’s transition towards the circular economy, regardless of industry, complexity, and size. Going beyond assessing products and material flows, this free company-level measuring tool reveals the extent to which a company has achieved circularity across its entire operations.

Globally, over 1250 businesses have signed up to complete a Circulytics assessment. More and more businesses are recognising that the circular economy can help build long-term growth and tackle global challenges such as climate change and pollution – but to have real impact, they need to know how they are performing.

Going

forward

The Circulytics scorecard gives an overview of a company’s progress on the journey towards circular economy, but way of two overarching categories “Enablers” and “Outcomes”. Essentially, the theme level scores help prioritise activities. We will soon launch a new and updated Circular Packaging School, which will focus on Circularity and Carbon Emissions, which is mandatory for all employees to participate in and is also offered to our business partners.

Our vision is to transform the food packaging industry to circularity. So we will continue our efforts across our company and hope to inspire others to follow.
