New updated
design guide
Collaboration across sectors leads to a new Design Guide for plastic packaging.
Design guide to ensure
circular progress
The Danish Plastics Federation, along with partners like Plus Pack, is launching an updated packaging Design Guide to help design plastic packaging that supports a circular economy. The vision is to make Denmark the global leader in the recycling and reuse of plastic packaging.
"It has been absolutely crucial that the Design Guide has been supported by all along the packaging value chain, including, production companies, NGO’s and municipalities.
The Design Guide provides an overview of models and multiple definitions that we now all use. This provides a shared understanding, collaboration and credibility across the value chain which is essential if we are to succeed in moving to a circular economy."

Design Guide
contributors
The former Design Guide has led to several product launches in Plus Pack. For instance, we recently moved our popular Zen Selection Platter to clear mono-material, a material that is easy-to-recycle. Also, we have moved from OPS lids to PP lids, as PP lids are made of a material that is easy-to-recycle.
We appreciate the opportunity to participate together with other partners in creating a design guide that facilitates open communication with customers. At Plus Pack, we believe collaboration and knowledge are key in transforming the plastic industry towards a circular approach, and are proud of the work we have achieved together.
