Our new warehouse has been
DGNB silver-certified
September 2021, we initiated an exciting project of building a warehouse in our site in Odense under circular principles. June 2022, the building was complete, and we now have 32% more warehouse facilities. Now that the new warehouse is well and truly in use, are very pleased to announce that the building has received a DGNB silver sustainability certification with an environmental quality score of 77.2%.
Circularity is a must.
FOR GOOD.
When we grew out of our old warehouse, we knew the new building had to support our strategy in reducing CO2 emissions, to become net zero.
Plus Pack has a goal to reduce climate impact- both for ourselves and on the behalf of our customers. We have therefore chosen to use building materials, that have a low CO2 impact measured over the material’s entire lifecycle, and materials that are easy to disassemble, reuse or eventually recycle.
We had circularity in mind to ensure the building allowed for reuse and recycling after the core infrastructure was complete.
"We have incorporated circularity into the construction and operation of our new warehouse from the beginning of this project. The building is DGNB silver-certified, which amongst other things includes, the conduction of a life cycle analysis as well the selection of circular materials that also comply with Plus Pack’s own strategy."

Examples
of circular principles
- Reuse of tiles from previous parking lot to new warehouse
- Sensor controlled LED lights that are only lit when needed
- 12 electric car chargers installed for employees
- 0,9% NOx reduction yearly with NOXOUT coating on roof – equal to 44,600km driven by a lorry
The warehouse was built under circular practices that make our building reusable, and best prepared for net-zero. We hope we can inspire others to focus on building circular in future, so infrastructure allows us to reach global CO2 reduction goals. Furthermore have we installed 4,096 solar panels that covers 31% af our annual energy consumption.
